Rarely does a book come along about women firefighters that so accurately portrays the sometimes brutal effects of being a woman in a 'man's' profession. She has done it so well that as I finished the last page, I was in tears. I had those feelings as I worked as a firefighter and it was so validating to see I wasn't alone. The effect of being on the outside looking in is so isolating and lonely... I so loved her passion, drive, and amazing ability to persevere in a profession she loved, dispute those that fought to get her out. I do hope she continued with firefighting after she left, the profession needs more like her! Thank you for sharing your amazing story, you are an inspiration!!!Product details
