I was SO excited to get Ashton’s story. I knew there was so much more to it and Terri delivered that to us on every level. His childhood was nothing short of traumatic. The details of his past are relived as we bounce back from past to present flawlessly. The how and why of his actions as a young adult are tied to his past experiences. Your heart will ache for Ashton on every level as he tries to navigate his feelings for his best friend, Sawyer, and what Sawyer means to him. The bond these two have is simply amazing. The love and devotion they have for one another is epic. But is it more than just best friends?

Willow is a kind, soft spoken soul that has always felt second best to her step-sister. To see her flourish and become more confident of herself as time moves on in this love story was great. Her calm, enduring manner pulled Ashton to her on every level. She was a soothing balm to his aching heart. She is exactly what Ashton needs in his life. I could have not asked for a better heroine to fit in Ashton’s jagged puzzle.

I loved Ashton on every level. He was sensitive, kind, yet insecure. He was a beautiful soul that simply needed someone to listen and understand him. Willow did that for him. She helped to show him what they were both missing in their lives. She was patient with him as they navigated the undeniable connection they had for one another. The complimented each other on every level. Although they were unsure of themselves, to see them open up and trust one another was a beautiful journey to be on. This is a beautiful cast of characters, I highly recommend this book, as well as the rest of the series.

I liked the development of the characters and their relationship. I thought the subject matter was handled in an authentic and respectful way! I was of course happy for the happy ending!
Enjoyed the book along with the characters very much! The characters were all very strong, easy to care about and interesting. I would give this book high recommendation!
Can a book be a knock out punch? Can a book leave you speechless? In Craving Dragonflies, Terri F. Laine did both to me. This is one book, that will leave me reeling for days. This was much, much more than an angst filled story or a trial/tribulation story. This was a reaffirmation that humans can love no matter what purgatory they've been through...as long as the right one comes along. Great book! I highly recommend it! xoxo
5 HEARTBREAKING STARS FOR ASHTON!! My heart is still recovering from all the trauma it went through. Ashton's story is painful but will touch your heart in so many ways. Willow is a beautiful person inside and out, but thinks she is always second best to her sister. These two are ready to take you on their ride and believe me you will want to go. This author has written a beautiful heartfelt story that I could not put down. Make sure to 1-Click this book.
The little blurb told me NOTHING about this book! I felt like I went in with blinders on! I was confused for a minute. Lol. But goodness this was just, amazing. So much was going on but I could hardly take my eyes off a page. Each character was thoughtfully constructed and well developed. The storyline was just... goodness. Read the book. I want everyone to be as surprised as I was but smiling at the end. So much pain to get to the pleasure. Great job by the author.
But wow, what a powerful story. One showing just how evil humans can be, and one that shows how love ❤️ can heal. There are two things I abhor ( these two are the worst), and they are abusing children and animals. And when it comes time for judgment because let’s face it humans are very imperfect and so is the judicial system, but when it comes from a higher source we will all be judged accordingly. And for these humans who were given the highest form of intelligence knowing right from wrong come up for their sentencing....I pray with everything in me they know what their evil feels like🤬...... getting that said, these two kids I fell in love with 😍 her for her loving ♥️ heart, him for being open to allow love to shine through and not let the evil done to him rob him. This once again shows that even under the very horrendous of situations you don’t have to allow that to define your outcome, so when people turn out bad it is by choice not by how they were brought up.
Oh Ashton I waited so long for you and your story. You have intrigued us since you first showed up in Chasing Butterflies and now we know all those secrets you keep. Your story didn't disappoint it was just as amazing as you are. Terri E. Laine's Chasing Butterflies Series has captured my heart from the very beginning when we meet four boys entering college and playing football. Ashton was always the mysterious one of the bunch and quiet. He seemed to always look toward his friend and constant companion Sawyer for his next step. But Sawyer is finding a different way and Ashton is left wondering what his next step will be on his own. He quickly finds a new way as you learn about the past that made Ashton wonder who he really is and what he will become without relying on his best friend. I love Ashton and I love the his story.
